Japanese restaurant and bar Yakumo

Japanese restaurant and bar Yakumo, at hotel Belvedere, was the first one introducing gastronomical concept izakaya¸ which presents original fusion of restaurant and bar in authentic Japanese style.

Beside Yakumo’s specialties, which are kushiyaki skewers prepared on unique grill, restaurant offers also plenty of other Japanese meals, traditionally served in bars of this type at Japan. The offered choice of alcoholic beverages consists exclusively of Czech and Japanese beers, wines and spirits.

Interior of the restaurant is characteristic by its simple and functional design, in accordance with the Japanese model. The low bar, behind which the chef presents his skills, traditional low-seating hori-kotatsuon on the elevated platform behind sliding doors, and original atmosphere reveal the love of their owners towards Japan and its culture.

Yakumo is the ideal place for casual meeting with friends, or having drink with your colleagues after long day at work. The greatest award for the restaurant is its popularity among Japanese living in Prague, appreciating balanced taste of the served food, which evokes memories of their distant homeland. Because one of the Yakumo’s goals is to disprove the generally accepted view that Japanese cuisine equals sushi, this meal presents only a fraction of the specialties which can be found on the menu. The major emphasis is being placed here on traditional preparation of the meals, which served in smaller portions allure to gourmet enjoyment and keen sharing with your friends or colleagues.
