National Technical Museum

National Technical Museum in Prague was founded in the year 1908. Throughout more than 100 years of its history were created extensive collections documenting development of various technical fields, natural and exact sciences, and industries in Czech lands. In February 2011, after long reconstruction during years 2003-2011, was reopened first part of permanent expositions: Transportation, Architecture, Typography and photographical atelier.

National Gallery - Veletržní palác

The building, designed by Oldřich Tyl and Josef Fuchs, was build between years 1925-1929. Until year 1951 the building was mainly used for trade fairs, later served as headquarters for several foreign trade enterprises. In year 1974 the building was destroyed by fire. After long reconstruction, in year 1995, collections of modern and contemporary art of National Gallery were placed there, and in year 2000 were expanded by art collections of the 19th century.

Prague Zoological Garden

Prague zoological garden is a modern institution of its kind, which creates for its species the most optimal conditions, not only by conception and design of the habitats, but also creation of multispecies groups. Visitors then can easily see how the animals are living and their ties to the environment, while animals are able to develop natural behavior.

Prague Botanical Garden

Prague Botanical Garden was founded in year 1968, but is still in development process as some of its sections will be finished in year 2017. The garden consists of 52 ha of land, from which 27 is fenced. The most famous parts of the garden are green house Fata Morgana, Vineyard, Japanese Garden or Havránka.

National Agricultural Museum

National Agricultural Museum was founded in year 1891. The building of the museum, built in Functionalism style, was built in years 1937-39 together with the neighboring object of the National Technical Museum. However, for more than 50 years it served different purposes. Recently the Museum is undergoing complete reconstruction, which will return its former style and enable to introduce new and modern exhibitions.

Troja Palace

The Troja Palace, located on the right river bank of Vltava, in immediate vicinity of Prague Zoological Garden is a baroque style building built in 17th century. In the palace area can be found several agricultural building including stables and a wine cellar. The palace itself is surrounded by palace garden with many ornamental and fruit trees, small natural labyrinth, fountains, terracotta vases, and orangery decorated with imperator busts.

Krizik´s Fountain

Krizik’s light fountain became every night sensation before 100 years ago. One of the most interesting objects of Prague Exhibition Area even today belongs among most sought attraction which city of Prague offers to its visitors. The fountain is surrounded by large amphitheatre for more than 6000 spectators, for which is being every year prepared breathtaking water & light show to melodies of most famous classical music authors, pop and rock stars, and also original scenic projects. With the coming of modern times, new technical specialties were introduced such as projecting pictures on water screen, or laser effects.

Governor´s Summer Palace

Governor’s Summer Palace is originally a gothic building from the end of the 15th century, located in King’s Enclosure – Stromovka in Prague, where it served as a Royal hunting summer palace, belonging to Prague Castle. The building was built under the reign of King Vladislav Jagellonsky, and even today can be seen an original preserved tower with stone steps and a sculpture of lion.

Letenský zámeček

The history of palace Letenský zámeček can be traced to first half of the 19th century. During its existence, Letenský zámeček changed its owners several times, but no matter what happened with the architectonical style of the building, it always stayed as one of the most popular places for Praguers to have a thoughtful walk or to sit with friends and have a great time. Today there can be found four different restaurants offering various specialties from Czech and international cuisine.

Letna Water Tower

Letna Water Tower is a 26 meters tall, five story building built in New Renaissance style, located on Letna in Prague, few meters from football stadium Sparta Prague. The building was built between years 1887 and 1888 according to design from Jindrich Fialka.

Industrial Palace

Industrial Palace, located in Prague Exhibition Area was built in year 1891. The palace is composed of highly glassed steel construction, with the highest point 51 meters above ground. The style of the palace is usually described as Art Nouveau, sometimes is this description claimed as incorrect and the style is labeled as Historicism. The original facade is decorated by majestic portal with sculptures of significant Czech historical persons. In side wings of the building were stationed busts of significant Czech technicians. Unfortunately, on 16th October 2008 left wing was destroyed by massive fire.

Prague Exibition Area - Incheba Expo

Prague Exhibition Area is a significant and important exhibition area, with long history and attractive location, not far from the city centre. Every year the area hosts more than 50 trade shows and exhibitions on more than 320 000 m2. Thanks the multi functionality of the area, Incheba Expo is often co-organizer of many cultural and entertainment events.

Prague Market

Prague Market – is a historically protected area, located in southern part of Holešovice, is an unique site with original atmosphere. Its area, historical and architectural significance has no parallel in European context. Completely preserved, originally industrial buildings currently offer number of shops and gastronomical venues. One of the top places is famous club & restaurant Sasazu.

Generali Arena - Fotbal Club AC Sparta Praha

Generali Arena is a home of the first league football team and multiple league champion AC Sparta Prague, with capacity of 20 thousand persons. From one side it marks the beginning of city park Stromovka and on the other side is Letenská pláň continuing into Park Letná. The size of the playing field 105x68m complies with UEFA regulations for its final games and recommended size of stadium, where can be played UEFA and FIFA games.

Tipsport Arena - Hockey Club Sparta Praha

Tipsport Arena, a multipurpose arena, located in Prague Holešovice, was built between years 1953 and 1962. For more than 50 years it has been home of Hockey Club Sparta Praha, who use it for playing hockey games. Besides hockey, arena often hosts various concerts and events. In years 1972, 1978, 1985 and 1992 Tipsport Arena hosted Ice Hockey European Championships, and in year 1980 also the finale of Davis Cup. In year 2015 is planned to host Ice Hockey World Championship.

King´s Enclosure - Stromovka

Stromovka, also called King’s Closure can be considered a Prague Central park. Large green oasis, with water areas and tall trees, is suitable for picnics, family sport tournaments or for simple walk. From one side it accessible from tram stations, from other side can be accessed from river, thus you can arrive on boat which floats around northern part of the park and can be also used to get to near zoological garden.

Planetarium Prague

Prague Planetarium firstly opened its doors to visitors in year 1960. In May 1991 it was re-opened after complete reconstruction. The projecting area which is formed by the dome of the hall, thus resembling the sky, is 15 meters above ground and its total area is 843 m2. That makes is largest projecting screen in Czech Republic. With the diameter of 23 meters Prague Planetarium belongs among biggest planetariums in the world. Only few planetariums in Asia and USA has dome with diameter of 26 meters.
